The Big Picture

June Ramli is a journalist, author and entrepreneur who first started her career working with the oldest English mainstream newspaper in Malaysia - The New Straits Times Press Malaysia Berhad.

As a journalist, June has covered politics, business, technology, courts, entertainment, sports, crime, parliamentary sittings.
It was also during this time that she decided to write a research-based book titled 'How Millionaires Got their First Break'. The idea behind her first book sprang when June was working on her very own fashion startup June Saira Lingerie line inspired by Batik.

Her own entrepreneurial journey, along with six other Malaysian millionaires with self-created brands were featured in her book addressing how they started their business venture from zero to hero.

Fast forward to 2018, June has written and illustrated her first picture book entitled "Yaya, Ezzy and Tante June's Trip to the Shops" which is available worldwide through Amazon. This book is designed to teach kids from the ages of four to six on the basics of financial literacy.

Besides writing and designing, June is into coding. Her first game app titled 'Tapiroo' was based on an aged old Malaysian game known as 'Galah Panjang'. It has been featured in the New Straits Times, Harian Metro and Capital TV, all reputable Malaysian media companies after it was launched in 2013.

June has two university degrees, a graduate diploma in creative writing from the University of Technology, Sydney and a communications degree from University Putra Malaysia.

In the past, June was invited by the Brunei Economic Development Board and Live Wire Brunei to present talks on entrepreneurship in Malay at it's capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. Note: this was a back to back one-off gig and was all thanks to her book "How Millionaires Got Their First Break."
